Veruthe Alla Bharya on Mazhavil Manorama
Veruthe Alla Bharya is a game cum reality show in the new Malayalam channel Mazhavil Manorama. It is telecasted on 8:30pm IST. The anchors of the show are Shwetha Menon (Malayalam cine star, Rathinirvedam, Salt n Pepper) and Aswathi Raichal Mathew. The reports of the show are very good and it is an eye-pleasing reality show running in Malayalam television Channels. The success of Veruthe Alla Bharya is only because of the new idea of participating husbands in the works usually done by Indian women at home. The show started by given a nice profile of each families participating in the show. There are more than 15 families or contestants in the show. Some of them are Sharmila, Dolly, Sangeetha, Manju, Ranjini, Suzzan, Jumaida, Neetha, Sahad, Philip, Vinod, Sunny Thomas, Joshy etc.
The game goes like this; there will be two tasks given to each contestants of the show; on-stage task and off-stage task. The marks are allotted according to the performance of husband in each of the task. The marks are given out of one hundred for each on-stage and of-stage tasks. The marks are given by the judging panel consisting ten non-playing wives. After the completion of these two tasks of Veruthe Alla Bharya on Mazhavil Manorama, the third task is to write beautiful and smoothing love letter for their respective wives. Marks are allotted by a single judge selected by the contestant by selecting lotto and it is out of ten. The elimination round will be commenced just after the third round. Some two or three families who scored less in the above task will be eliminated out of Veruthe Alla Bharya.
The show makes viewers cry, smile and think about the love and care between each husband and wife. The set where the show shoot is taken is a nice one with facilities to occupy more than fifty audiences. It is such a worthy show and everyone should see the show for a complete packed entertainment.

Review of Daivathinu Swantham Devootty, Serial in Mazhavil Manorama
Daivathinu Swantham Devootty is the new tele-serial started in Mazhavil Manorama. Its first telecast was done on this November 28th 2011, at 6:30pm. As the name of this television serial suggests it is all about the life of heroine named Devootty, some letter to the God.
The story is written by Mr. P F Mathews a well known name in the field of serial industry, Executive Producer is Dr. Sivaram. The serial is produced by Manorama Vision, and Directed by Mr. Madhupal, a well known Malayalam film industry actor, writer and director. So it is hoped that the serial can give a lot of power packed entertainment to the audience.
Daivathinu Swantham Devootty will be telecasted daily from Monday to Friday on Mazhavil Manorama on 6.30pm IST.
After watching the first day telecast of the same serial in Mazhavil Manorama, it doesn’t seems that it can break the rating of other serials or shows running in Asianet or Surya TV. But the story thread is good, filled fully with hot suspense. Viewers would definitely like but it can’t draw the viewer attention from the shows they used to watch in the same time. There was great mistake in the first show that in the past shows of Devootty, Apple Iphone mobile is shown. How can it be possible to have Iphone in market more than 10 years ago? There would not be any mobile phones used by common men. But the viewers are not supposed to question the story of the serial!
The videography of the serial is too good that it can make audience not to change the channel, background score is good. It really suits the occasions in the serial. Hope it will repeat the same score a very little.
It is something beyond the commercial serial, real life story depicted in the serial is so eye pleasing. The serial started with Devootty, a middle aged woman gets an award for humanity. The award she won is because of her excellence in the field of human resource, she owns some rehabilitation centers for old aged and alone people. Then the past of Devootty gets revealed. There comes a character named Alice who changed the life of Devootty and her father. But towards the end of the first show, Alice gets murdered. So it leaves a huge number of questions to the audience after watching first show of Daivathinu Swantham Devootty in Mazhavil Manorama like, ‘Who killed Alice?’, “Why she came to see Devootty’s father?’ etc
In short it would be good to watch this serial if your are exhausted with the common subjects like mother-in-law, housewives fights etc!

Review comparison between Samadooram on Mazhavil Manorama and Nammal Thammil on Asianet
Samadooram on Mazhavil Manorama and Nammal Thammil on Asianet are the two most watched debate shows running in Malayalam television channels. Both the show time and repeated telecast time are same, first telecast on Saturday and Sunday nights at 10pm IST, repeated telecast on next day morning at 9am IST. The way of approach of each topic in both these shows Samadooram on Mazhavil Manorama and Nammal Thammil on Asianet are same. Samadooram on Mazhavil Manorama is hosted by Mr. Sreekandan Nair and Nammal Thammil on Asianet is hosted by Mr. John Brittas. There is a common factor in both these hosts, is that once they were a part of some other television channels of Kerala. Mr. Srikandan Nair was from Asianet and Mr. John Brittas was Managing Director of Malayalam Telecommunications Limited, which owns Kairali TV, Kairali People and Kairali We.
It’s an untold but known truth that both Samadooram on Mazhavil Manorama and Nammal Thammil on Asianet shows are here in Mallu television competing each other for increasing ratings. The ugly truth is that both shows are not getting up to the mark. It may be due to the topic they selects, due to hosts, due to audience at show sets and may even due to the guests. The topics they select are worse and much discussed and everyone knows that the outcome after the show will be a big zero.
Talking about the sets of Samadooram on Mazhavil Manorama is somewhat big in terms of area and a larger volume of audience can be occupied in it. It is eye pleasing also. But the sets of Nammal Thammil on Asianet are small, overcrowded and not at all an eye pleasing one. They still use the old style of television show sets.
Talking about the hosts, first about Mr. Sreekandan Nair of on Mazhavil Manorama, he allows people to talk a little, sometimes he give some big speeches on topic other that the main topic of discussion. Coming to Mr. John Brittas of Nammal Thammil on Asianet, must say he is much worse than Mr. Sreekandan Nair. He has got his own ideas and opinion on each topic and he is tries to suppress audience by his words. Sometimes he burst to audience gathered there in set of Nammal Thammil, which makes the audience watching television at home feel bitter. A moderator should never be so. He is best in chat show, watch Brittas’s chat show with well known Malayalam film singer Mr. Yeshudas on Asianet Plus or Asianet.
The topics discussed both shows are less bothered by a common man. I do not know how many people think about ‘ How many Ranjinis are there?’, ‘Womanish behavior of some men’, ‘ Malayalam film, its problems and Santhosh Pandit (Krishnanum Radhayum)’ etc. The conclusion said at the end is worth as much to fill the appetite of the viewers of Samadooram on Mazhavil Manorama and Nammal Thammil on Asianet. The length of the show should also be discussed. Samaduram is half an hour length while the Nammal Thammil is of one hour length. But the Nammal Thammil is filled with advertisements while it is less in Mazhavil Manorama. Sometimes it may be due to the fact that the channel Mazhavil Manorama is a new Malayalam channel.
The funniest think is that when I discussed this matter with some of my friends who are keen in Malayalam TV channel reviewing, said that they changed the channel to Kochu TV, the new channel from Sun Network (Surya TV).
In short these shows are fighting each other not to excel but to become worse. These shows should never be like so. Malayali viewer has much expectation with these shows on Asianet and Mazhavil Manorama.

Mazhavil Manorama, the new Malayalam Television Channel Review
Mazhavil Manorama is the new channel from Manorama television to the audience of Kerala, after Manorama News. Mazhavil means rainbow in Malayalam, as the name suggests, the television channel is full of colors and energy which suits the tastes of youth, kids and middle aged men. It began its telecast last week. Its running successfully in Malayali’s drawing rooms. It would be a fact that it can arise to mainstream Malayalam channel list just by a few months after Asianet and Surya TV.
Some of the mindboggling programs in Mazhavil Manorama are Josco Indian Voice. It is a musical show in which new singers are given chance to prove their ability to the nation. Mr. Shankar Mahadevan, Mr. Srinivas and Mrs. Sujatha are the present judging panel members and some celebrities like Mohanlal, Mammotty etc would join then later. Mr. Steffan Dewasi is also another attraction of this show.
Veruthe alla bharya is another reality show in which husbands are supposed to do two tasks, field task and stage task. Judging panel members are ten other housewives, who will judge the skills of husband. The program is hosted by Mrs. Shwetha Menon and Miss. Aswathi. The show is telecasted twice daily at 2pm and 10pm.Kadhayile Rajakumari is a TV-serial, telecasted daily. Kishor ( Vanitha rakthnam, Amrutha TV fame) is playing the lead role.Marimayam is a comedy serial telecasted twice a day in Mazhavil Manorama. It is humor based film; Mrs. Manju Pillai plays the main role in this TV serial.Thani nadan is a cookery show, in which anchor Miss. Lakshmi goes through various places of India and Kerala, shows various new recipes.
The TV channel doesn't show any films in it. Some people may film it really odd. But it would surely show in near future.
